- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections, and all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes with different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread used in soccer that eliminates the draw outcome and gives a goal advantage or disadvantage to each team.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets.
- Bookmaker
- A company or person that sets odds and accepts bets.
- Both Teams To Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cashout
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that predicts the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible match outcomes (win, draw, or loss) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win if your chosen team wins.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in the match.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that requires predicting the result at both halftime and the end of the match.
- Handicap
- A numerical advantage given to one team to level the playing field for betting purposes.
- In-Play
- A bet placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker takes, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet based on your edge and the odds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, essentially acting as the bookmaker.
- Line
- The set of odds or point spread offered for a particular bet.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- The number that indicates how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Outright Bet
- A long‑term bet on which team will win a tournament, group, or other competition.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be more or less than a set number.
- ROI
- Return on Investment; the percentage profit or loss relative to the amount wagered.
- Stake
- The amount of money wagered on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an expected profit.
